Furniture design

Detailed projects

The creation of any beautiful home and a successful interior design solution is preceded, firstly, by a clear vision of the expected result and, secondly, by a project created in detail according to the same vision. Both buildings and furniture are designed in the same way.

First stage: open communication

Active and open communication between the two parties - the client and the employee - helps to map all needs, wishes and requirements. We set the main criteria, which in the case of kitchen furniture are, for example:

  • what is the kitchen plan (single-row, double-row, L-shaped, U-shaped, peninsula-shaped or containing a kitchen island)?
  • what material(s) to use?
  • how are the communications in the kitchen arranged?
  • are there any special requirements for functionality, finishing, creating or stylizing fittings?

Your furniture project is ...

only one call away.

The second stage - creating a project

The main goal of any project is to bring dreams first from thought to paper and then from paper to life. A proper furniture project is the first and indispensable prerequisite for the production of high-quality furniture created according to the customer's wishes. The comprehensive project includes calculations of working time, fittings as well as materials and the layout of the main functional zones. It also gives the carpenter an overview of the order of work, which in turn ensures the efficiency and maximum quality of the whole process. By now, it is almost a matter of course that in addition to the project on paper, a 3D model will be created from the corresponding project.

Detailed drawings and 3D visualization

What is 3D modeling and why is it necessary?

Three-dimensional modeling is a very good helper for detailed visualization of the final result. 3D modeling is already as important today as classic furniture design. Generating a 3D model allows the customer to create a complete picture of the environment in which the ordered furniture should fit. It also gives a better overview of the interaction between the materials and the placement of the ordered furniture in a specific room.

During their years of operation, Sisuko's engineers have learned to create solutions for demanding Scandinavian markets and have collaborated with many internationally renowned interior designers and architects. In our work, we always try to be on the same side of the table with the client, so to speak, helping to map wishes and needs. 3D modeling allows the client to better formulate and specify their unique wishes and to better understand the layout of the space and the resulting tasks.

In summary, a universally good furniture project

  • ensures the fulfillment of the wishes and requirements of the client,
  • is functional and effective,
  • is at optimal cost,
  • ensures a reasonable balance between construction and operating costs,
  • is technologically high quality,
  • is aesthetically pleasing.

We make a project according to the dimensions of your room

The third stage - implementation of the plan

A thorough work project approved by the customer is the basis for creating each furniture item or project. During the performance of the work, the performance of each stage of the work is constantly checked. We are always available to our customers when they have specific questions or additional wishes. We dare to confirm that no piece of furniture or created complete solution will leave our factory without a thorough inspection.

3 things to pay attention to when designing ergonomic and comfortable kitchen furniture

As a discipline, ergonomics deals with solutions that are safe, efficient and optimal for humans, both in terms of ways, means and environment. A lot of attention is paid to ergonomics, especially when planning workplaces or dwellings.

The kitchen is one of the most important living spaces where a lot of time is spent. That is why it is worth thinking carefully about different solutions when designing and planning a kitchen. We and our team always help to create a functional and comfortable space solution, but here are some general principles that you should start thinking about early on.

VISUALIZING YOUR FURNITURE

1. The distances of the so-called working triangle could be as short as possible

The working triangle refers to the location between the three main operating centers of the kitchen - the refrigerator, the sink and the stove. The straighter and shorter the path of movement connecting them, the more convenient and comfortable it is to transport in the kitchen. According to the results of various studies, the main place of work of the kitchen is the sink - it delivers about 40 percent of the time spent in the kitchen. Therefore, the sink should be placed in a consciously planned place in the kitchen. In addition, it has been calculated that user comfort is ensured if the sink is located approximately 120 - 210 cm from the refrigerator and 120 - 180 cm from the stove.

2. The movement should be smooth

Often the first thing to think about is the compatibility of colors and materials - and that's important too! - but user-friendliness should be a priority when planning a kitchen (and indeed any other dwelling or furniture solution). In the kitchen, this means, among other things, that there are as few obstacles to movement and excessive strain on the body as possible. If the kitchen tends to deliver less growth, it is not practical to plan a large number of high cabinets. Or vice versa - excessive worship can also become an unpleasant problem with prolonged use. We will definitely help you calculate the optimal height of the worktops! It should also be considered whether there is enough space in the aisle, how the doors of cupboards, ovens and refrigerators open, etc.

3. Have everything you need at your fingertips

When planning kitchen appliances, some theories distinguish between three-level and some four-level zoning. In the three zones, the kitchen area is divided between the most used, the least used and the rarely used items. Accordingly, the former should be placed at the same height throughout and the less and rarely frequently used items at other levels (either higher or lower). However, kitchen furniture is also divided into four parts: very low (approx. 40 cm from the floor), low (40-75 cm), medium (75-190 cm) and high (over 190 cm). Items that are used less frequently are placed again on the highest and lowest levels. Larger drawers/cabinets for storing kitchen utensils and household appliances are often placed on the low level, the middle level is well suited for storing the most used accessories.
